Well, today is November 27th. Only 28 days until Christmas!!! YIKES!!!!!!! Less than a month. This year is just flying by. I have so much to get done before Christmas. Plus my mom's birthday is coming up in 10 days. I have really got to get busy working on her gift. I was going to work on it this past couple of weeks, but since I was visiting her, not something that I could really do.

Anyways, my kids & I just got back from a trip to visit my mom & grama. It was a nice visit. Thanksgiving was great! My uncle (more like big brother) was there too from out of state, with his new fiance & his son. It was so great to see him!!! I have only gotten to see him twice in the past 18 years since he moved across country. And those two times were only bcuz of deaths in the family. It was nice to be able to see him on a happy occasion. We have always been close. And I have missed seeing him so much. As I said, he is my uncle, my mom's baby brother. But we have always been more like brother & sister. There are only 9 1/2 years between us. There are almost 11 years between me & my baby brother. And there are 9 1/2 years between my daughter & my son. So, it's not uncommon for a gap in ages in our family. I have never called him uncle. Always just call him by his name. My kids call him uncle. And my son is named after him. The only bad part of our trip was that my husband wasn't able to come with us. He couldn't get off of work. And then at the end of our trip everyone got some sort of stomach bug. We're not sure if it was the flu or food poisoning from something that we all ate. But it sure messed everyone up. Thankfully now, everyone is starting to feel better. And now, the kids & I are home again. It was a great trip.

Anyways, well I suppose that is enough for now.

Here it is ~ October 3rd already. I can't believe it. Where has this year gone? Less than a month until Halloween. Less than 2 months until Thanksgiving and only 83 days until Christmas. So much to do and this time of year just snuck right up on me! So much to do before Christmas gets here. Plus I have to finish stitching the trick or treat totes for my kids for Halloween. Then lots of holiday stockings to make, some as gifts, some that are orders for my business. I'm also working on crocheting a huge afghan for my daughter. I'm hoping to get it finished in time for Christmas. But it's ok if that doesn't get done in time. She'll have other stuff.

Well, done for now. More stuff to get done.

Until next time,

All kinds of crazy ass shit going on in my life right now. The baby is 18 months old now. Our daughter started junior high last month. We're trying to sell our house & find another place that is better suitable for our family. On a good note, with my husband's new job, I have been able to quit work and be a full time stay at home mom, which is the BEST!!! It does get a little frustrating at times. But it's no big deal. I love being able to be at home with the kids everyday. I like being here when my daughter gets off the bus after school. I haven't really had a lot of time to work on some projects that I would like to get done. But that's only bcuz I am working on getting the house packed & such. Also I did start online college courses, which I'm very excited about. Once we're in the new place, I'm sure I'll have a bit more time to do some extra things that I would like to do. One thing that I am trying to squeeze in right now is cross stitching a couple of tote bags for the kids trick or treat bags. They are coming along nicely. I also have an order for seven of the custom Christmas stockings that I make. My first order for Forever Treasured Keepsakes!!! Very exciting! :-) Occasionally, I do make time for myself. I'll play video games or cross stitch or crochet or whatever. Usually after the kids are in bed. It's a graveyard week for my husband, so I am usually up pretty late. As I've said before, hard to sleep when he is not here. One of the games that I play on my DS is Animal Crossing. If any of you play, feel free to add me to your friends list! I like to visit other towns! :-) My friend code is listed below. Well, I am going to get a couple of things done.

Have a GREAT week!

My inspiration comes from my family's likes & dislikes. Also, from the different holidays. For cross stitch, I love to stitch Halloween patterns. I also design & sew custom blankets & Christmas stockings. The idea for the designs for these projects just popped into my head one day. For the stockings, I was looking over the stockings that a local store had on display. And I began thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have Christmas stockings that were made from fabric of characters or themes that people really like, and if they were larger & all padded & such. The design was a mental picture in my head at that time. Then I just made the pattern itself from poster board and now I have make stockings from my own mental design image. For the blankets, I just wanted something that looks all cozy & fun & is unique. Just my creative juices flowing. :-)

Well here I am posting my first entry. It's 2:20 am. The kids are sound asleep. My husband is working graveyard shift this week. I always seem to stay up late each nite when he is working graves. It's not that I am afraid or anything. I know the kids & I are safe. It's just that I don't like to sleep when he's not here. I miss him. Even when I do sleep, I sleep on the couch. I just can't bring myself to sleep in our bed without him. For some that may sound stupid. But that's just how it is. On the nites when I don't sleep, I either sit here at the computer, or I stitch. As you can see, tonite is a computer nite. I'm happy that he likes his job so much. He's not miserable behind some desk at some job where they don't appreciate all of his hard work. At the end of his shift, he can see all results of what he has done. And that makes him happy. And I'm glad for that. It's just hard getting used to the graveyard shifts every other week. And I'm thankful it's only every other week. I wish I was as happy at my job as he is at his. Truth be known, I wish I didn't have to work and that I could be home for my kids everyday. And also get my business going faster so that I can do that. But I think it will be a while before that happens. I'm ok with that. Everything happens for a reason. And if it was the right time for me to not have to work, then I wouldn't be. Well, as I put in the subject line ... just rambling.

Anyway, tonite is the full moon. I will be planting some herbs & flowers. They always grow best when planted on the nite of the full moon. And depending on how long it takes, I actually won't be spending my nite in front of the computer. :-) That will be a switch. LOL.

Well, I think I am going to actually get a lil bit of sleep tonite.

Until Next Time,
